About Me

• Leadership – I have a 30+ years of military and civilian leadership with particular emphasis on creating and leading effective teams to deliver results, especially in high pressure situations and with multi-national teams. I specialize in the unique working culture of the Operations personnel at refineries, offshore and onshore facillities, and being a liason between corporate IT and OT field personnel.

• Security Architect – I have written and developed Reference Architectures used to guide how an organization approaches security from a technical perspective, how the networks should be designed, endpoints hardened and how systems are allowed to communicate, as well as how the security levels users are recommended to have within the various DCS and SCADA software packages commonly in use.

• OT Security and Technology Deployments - I am focused on process control network / operating asset projects particularly around network monitoring technology solutions and Microsoft Windows endpoint security and hardening but including OT network security, security assessments and follow-on remediation planning as well as global deployments.

• Focused on OT Environments. I am highly skilled in process control networks, PCN applications and telecommunications including industrial protocols as well as being well versed in the operating asset culture. I have a strong emphasis on safety, and being able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, particularly with the operations team.

• Global Experience: I have extensively traveled in the US and worldwide, and lived overseas in Europe and the Middle East, to perform security assessments, to design network and endpoint remediation strategies and to lead teams for new technologies at upstream, downstream and midstream Oil and Gas OT assets.
